Infineon Technologies is the strongest semiconductor company in Romania with a R&D center in Bucharest for 20 years and growing R&D sites in Iași and Brașov. You will be part of a newly formed software development team in Iasi, which will have full software lifecycle ownership for in-house IT products and applications, which are integral parts of Infineon’s advanced R&D flows, processes and planning framework. Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will leverage your expertise to guide and mentor both senior and junior software engineers, driving technical excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. As a proactive leader with a strong track record in software development, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality solutions while inspiring your team to achieve their best.

In your new role you will:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define , design , and deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of senior and junior software engineers to drive individual and team excellence
  • Champion best practices in software engineering , including code quality , testing , and deployment processes , and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the team
  • Drive the technical vision , strategy , and roadmap for software development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements , provide technical insights, and contribute to the architectural design and system integration of software solutions
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team, promoting a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation


Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • University degree in computer science , informatics , or a related field
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in software development , with focus on architectural design and system integration
  • Proven leadership and mentorship experience, with a focus on guiding and developing both senior and junior software engineers
  • Expertise in modern web development frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js, ASP.NET Core),
    programming languages and database technologies
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies , containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies , DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Fluent English language skills
