Our Data & Analytics team plays a key role in building the future of data-driven decision-making across all areas of the business. We are currently expanding and looking for a skilled Data Engineer with Databricks experience to join our remote team.

Your Role
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on Databricks and Azure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, availability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust data pipelines using Apache Spark and Databricks
  • Optimize performance and cost of data workflows in a cloud environment (Azure)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand data requirements
  • Build and maintain ETL processes for structured and unstructured data
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards in the banking sector

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Strong experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance in the financial industry
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Banking or financial services background
  • Certification in Databricks or Azure technologies
