Job description
Business Context
If you enjoy communicating, learning new things and continuously discovering others, creating solutions and gaining good grasp of information technology, a career as a business analyst could be for you. As a business analyst, you must be able to work in team’ environments, for various customers and various industries. The role may suppose to visit different customers and conduct business meetings from their site. You will need to understand the customer organizational situation, identify their requirements and future needs and create solutions to help them meet those needs, usually (but not always) in relation to information and software systems. You will need to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and formal dress is the norm.
Essential Skills
- Very good attention to detail;
- Good analytical and problem solving experience;
- Experience in Business Analysis and Financial Services will be considered an advantage;
- Experience in conceptualization and solution definition will be considered an advantage;
- Self motivated and proactive with ability to work in fast paced environment and under pressure;
- Ability to manage own time to tight deadlines as well as commit and prioritize work duties and tasks;
- Ability to identify and interpret stakeholders needs and requirements;
- Good communication skills and a demonstrable ability to communicate with customers, users, internal and external management at all levels of the business;
- Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members;
Responsibilities
As a junior business analyst, you will need to:
- Work in teams environments;
- Conduct customer meetings and gather business information;
- Understand organizational structures for various clients;
- Understand the customers needs and elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis;
- Supports obtaining sign-off of Business Requirements and other related documentation;
- Works independently with individuals to define their requirements and under direction of project managers;
- Identify the business processes and document the information flow between company’ structures;
- Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary;
- Support the staff and teams in making the recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues;
Mandatory Education
- Degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and/or relevant work experience)
- Fluent in English (written/verbal) additional language(s) are an advantage
- Knowledge in MS Office products (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
