JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the inhouse information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems. The Senior Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will also mentor and provide guidance to the Systems Engineer staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with other staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
• Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services
• Integrate servers, database, e-mail, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Minimum Requirements

• 5 years of relevant experience with virtualization technologies with a focus on the VMware / Hyper-V suite of capabilities.
• Experience configuring at least one enterprise storage solution: NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, Hitachi, IBM, Fujitsu, Oracle
• Candidate will be able to design, deploy and maintain virtual infrastructure environments infrastructures.
• Strong communication skills in English and Romanian

Core Competency Requirements

• Experience deploying Windows Servers, SQL databases and Linux hosts in virtual environment.
• Solid understanding of backup solution design and implementation

Preferred Competency Requirements

• Understanding of Software Defined Networking. Previous experience with laaS, AWS/Azure preferred.
