Purpose of the role:
Coordinates activities related to the architecture and building of data models related to the bank's Data Warehouse (DWH) technical environment. This includes describing data and their relationship consistently to support both business and technical objectives, utilizing advanced analytical techniques and business intelligence (BI) knowledge to aid in interpreting data and trends for business activities.

What you'll be doing

Specific responsibilities:

  • Leads the activity of the Data & Intelligence team, including operational management, setting objectives and pursuing their fulfillment, establishing responsibilities and roles, maintaining, and developing an internal team control system, development, HR management, relations with other units/departments, etc.;
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing a system of managerial, financial, and commercial reports for management, related to IT systems of the bank, with great support from the Digital & Information department, report system represented by: DWH, local database MIS, BI;
  • Ensures the control and monitoring of the design processes and the creation of reports and analyzes for measuring performance and profitability and for monitoring the bank's results at different levels: total bank, business lines, customer segments, customers, product lines, products, and others in depending on ad hoc requests, if needed;
  • Ensure the maintenance of a proper ecosystem of platforms and manage the relationships with 3rd party providers;
  • Will establish the priorities in which the developments will be carried out, based on the requirements and priorities received from Business and stakeholders;
  • Coordinates and provides end-to-end guidance in the definition of the global technical architecture of the DWH environment (data processing processes, data structures, etc.) as well as in the definition of the technical requirements and the data model;
  • Ensures the effective and coherent implementation of Data and Information Governance standards, policies and processes at the Bank and subsidiary level in accordance with the Data and Information Governance model;
  • Coordination of people with the role of "Data Steward" at the bank level, facilitating and encouraging cooperation and coordination with the community of Data Stewards and Data Owners at the Holding level;
  • Management of processes and data flows, being the point of reference for the reconciliation of local data with Group systems;
  • Is responsible for maintaining business relations with the specific vendors of the coordinated area, ensuring the negotiation and maintenance of constructive relations.

What you'll need to succeed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or similar fields;
  • Detailed knowledge regarding the principles of relational and multidimensional databases as well as in-depth experience working with different types of databases (Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MS Access, etc.);
  • 7 years of experience in the MIS/DWH/Data Office area for Banking or similar financial institutions;
  • 5 years of experience in coordinating a team;
  • In-depth knowledge in the financial-banking field and understanding of economic and accounting principles;
  • In-depth knowledge in database processing, flexibility in the use of IT systems and the automation of reports, as well as solid skills in the use of MS Office;
  • Excellent data analysis skills to create reports using the SQL language respectively using different BI tools (such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, SAS, etc.);
  • Knowledge of the SQL language and programming based on the SQL language and expertise in defining queries in Teradata, Oracle, DB2 or SQL Server;
  • Permanent development in the MIS/DWH/Data Office area.

Technical Skills and main abilities needed:

• Flexibility in using IT systems;

  • Excellent computer operation skills, knowledge of MS Office, the central banking system, other database applications (ORACLE, TERADATA, ACCESS, Foxpro) and other operational systems;
  • Skills in database processing and data analysis as well as report automation;
  • Management and leadership skills;
  • Very good communication skills;
  • Administration of work with people;
