Great workplace to learn

Great workplace to initially build up career and experience working in different roles. Opportunity to complete training and certificates in different areas. Excellent social perks. Pay does not necessarily reflect promotions however.

CGI supports its members up until a certain point

I'm coming on to two years with CGI and I can sincerely say this has been the best career move. With that said, there is a lot of emphasis on company growth and the member role, but at the member level, I can tell you that the salary is not what it is. As they say, "show me the money!" There is no monetary incentive to work and grow the company as a member. This past year was very telling of the company's true colors. I overcame very difficult struggles and challenges with leadership and client demands that forced me to grow. I felt I went through so many "tests" to hold the business together. But my expectations for a salary increase were not met. I felt angry, disappointed and upset. A salary increase of 1% is not going to cut it! When I asked for a one-time bonus or to reconsider my need for a yearly salary increase, I was told not to get my hopes up. You can work at CGI for 5 years and still have the same salary and number of vacation days! For someone like me to did so much to grow the business, I do not feel valued in the way that I should. CGI is a great place to grow your career, but you may need to look elsewhere if you want to feel appreciated and incentivized.

Productive Agile Work environment

Very dynamic agile workplace. I learned a lot working on a project serving a big Canadian Bank employee and infrastructure. It is a fast and evolving environment, you need to keep yourself updated and adapt fast to the changing rules and requirements.

I worked there for a few years , I like the benefits, but management and training could be better.The training for the job was only for 1 week then after that I was put on the floor to take phone calls.

Good place to work

This is a good place to work and I recommend the job as a consultant. There are mostly government contract projects to work on. There is work life balance that is emphasized.

Relaxed, but lacking in direction.

Work and colleagues are good. Work-life balance is great, but whether you make career progress can depend on your project. This means there is pressure to network to get the kind of work you want.

Ambiente com muita pressão, falta de preparo dos funcionários com os seus subordinados

Ambiente de apoio ao cliente com muita pressão, exigências de metas impossíveis de atingir, excesso de funções, dificuldade na entrega de documentação (contrato, entre outros), total falta de empatia com os funcionários, tratados como máquinas.Pontos positivos: restaurante interno e staff de manutenção do prédio sempre atenciosos e com boa vontade.

Salaire faible, pas de cohésion

Salaire en dessa du marché , augmentations faible.L'ambiance est très "politique" et il n'y a pas vraiment d'esprit de groupe au sein de l'entreprise.Management de proximité aléatoire en fonction du manager.Une esn comme il y en a des dizaines en somme

Work life balance. Good working environment. Good learning experience. Employees are very cooperative. Good Annual hike .Job security is high. Managers are very good

Great for experience but horrible for growth

If you need experience it can be a good stepping stone but the culture is horrible where finger pointing even within your team is very rampant. The managers and TLs I’ve seen here where I’ve heard them shouting at their direct reports.

Decent for career start

You will be mainly responding to calls of the client(company/organization) you are meant to support. Teams are built around this. Sometimes you may have to support two clients. It will show on the phone details of the coming call so you can prepare to respond. Goal is meant to keep calls under 10min

Good place

Good place, management can sometimes talk to you like a child, and the pay isn't great, but the benefits are. If you are landed with a good manager, you are good to go.
