A typical day involves sources and making cold calls to potential candidates that meet the labor category for certain position you may be recruiting on that day. Working with Government clients on a frequent basis and hiring managers to determine needs. I would say that I learned more about the Government contracting side of things and how jobs are allocated and need to be filled.

If sales is your thing, this is the best place to work. Their commission structure is great, but takes a while to build up so that is why it can be tough.

Great People and Awesome Culture

I've worked at Apex for almost a year, I love working here. Management is very nice, organized, and caring. I actually enjoy coming to work. we just moved to a Hybrid work environment, at first I was iffy about it, but now I look forward to seeing everybody

Fun and Competitive Sales Job

Great company to work for out of college. There is tons of room for growth, but it is a competitive atmosphere. Get ready to work hard. Super supportive managers.

Horrible culture- felt like high school

It’s a sales job so you’re just cold calling people all day. Management sucks and doesn’t provide support. Work environment is cliquey and exclusive.

Easy job if you like sales, flexible work schedule

Expected to be available 24/7, promises of free lunch but they don’t actually do that, horrible coworkers that act like they’re 15, new recruiters get no support

Great company

Great company to work for when you are working under the right team. Flexible hours and decent pay. Working from home is a great benefit, and weekly pay.

Productive metric driven, constantly

Metric driven position, constantly making outbound calls. People that you recruit for positions might not respond back which can ultimately hurt you in the long run.

Only if you need experience out of school.

Do not work here unless you need a job out of school or you know what you are getting yourself into with recruiting jobs such as this. The turnover is so high for good reasons.

Great Environment

As a full time employee of Apex Systems, I have enjoyed every minute of it. My colleagues and managers are great, and super flexible. Very helpful, and are willing to see to it that your questions are answered.

Lots of young people

Very stressful environment with lots of turnover. other employees "dont talk to new people unless they have been there for over 1 year" It was hard to find people to help you succeed.

Overall great management and work life balance

The company creates a great office culture. Even as a 2 billion dollar company it still feels intimate. Management in the Pittsburgh office is great. Working with other Account Managers from other office can be a challenge.

Great place to start your career. Apex will train you and teach you all you need to know about recruiting and there is plenty of opportunity for growth.

Not Welcoming

I don't feel like I am able to reach my potential here. Management only cares about hitting numbers, and I don't feel very welcomed in the office. Some people there still live in Middle School, and some times I get coldness from people who are supposed to be leaders.

Apex demands 10 hour work days and pay the bare minimum, they threaten to fire you and love to hire new college graduates, because they don't know any better and they take advantage. I would never work for them again. stay away

Ability to advance, and control compensation

Apex puts you in a position to have autonomy of your pay by uncapped commissions. The industry can be tough, but if making money is something you're primarily interested in, the opportunity is there.

Typical Sales Job

Expect to have a phone headset on for 45 hrs/week, making 40 outbound calls/day. This is a sales job, and you will be selling all day, primarily through cold calls and email blasts. Not much for base salary, and 1% commission on sales. You get decent time off for holidays, and management isn't too strict about your schedule as long as you get your work done aka close sales. You get paid every Friday

Started out better than it ended

I was super excited about this job because a lot of my friends worked for APEX and it seemed like a great place. Team moral and culture is some of the best i have ever been a part of. the motto is "work hard play hard" .... but what they dont tell you is, you will not be properly compensated for your work. you have to work hard and kill yourself trying to make an extra dollar -- the stress here is not worth the pay. some locations are better than others when it comes to management.

Environment is great, management varies, paid too little

The day to day was a really fun place to be. The culture was young, supportive, professional, competitive, and an overall balance. However, the sales managers I encountered were very poorly trained for their job. The compensation is also much too low for the expectation of time put it, it's not a very livable wage.
