**AUTHENTIC** and Supportive Leadership from a company that understands people

I enjoy working for Apex and I would choose to work for them again and again without hesitation. For my sanity sake, once a job causes me too much unnecessary stress, I know it is time to find a new job. I have yet to feel that way about Apex because they know how to treat their employees like people and not just another employee ID number. They do their best to work with you and your scheduling needs because they understand that life is happening to all of us and we all deserve patience and grace. They don't micromanage you because they know and accept that we are adults who are capable of doing our jobs without needing constant surveillance. The contracts pay well and the work is not difficult if you pay attention in training and are good at making informed judgement calls. I recommend everyone I know to apply to Apex because their business model is one that will keep them in the lead for employment services long term due to how they make sure that EVERYONE feels valued regardless of their position in the company. -CAM

Easy to learn computer systems. Helpful management in answering questions. If a direct report was out for a day there was always someone that could step in. Tech support was great and paychecks were always correct and on time.

Steady work

People are pretty nice. But it’s still a help desk job. Expect to answer the phone constantly. If you work hard you can do additional projects. There is not as much upward mobility when it comes to pay. But overall not a bad place to work.

Management is proactive and responsive

It is what it is, 1st contract was awesome second was so-so but it because of Apex. Was not given tools to effectively do the job by the placement, case in point had still not received adequate Network rights to successfully complete assignments after repeated requests to resolve.

Great pay when there is work!

As a contractor, there isn’t paid time off or paid holidays, so a substantial amount of money is lost during the winter. Medical insurance offered isn’t affordable. Otherwise, the benefits package is generous & company culture is supportive.

They paired me with a good company

It's ok, people seem cool. Contractors come 2nd. They have ok benefits. Their number 1 priority is to the hiring company, and contractors come 2nd. Once you understand that, You'll be ok.

Contract Telephone LinemanPay was on par or better than most companies. W2 is nice. I was self driven and able to choose my projects. They have training opportunities and other bonus compensation if you research the company website.Overall I would say great company and I spent a wonderful amount of time working with and for APEX.

One of the better contractors, but could use better support

I worked as an Apex contractor. I did appreciate how transparent they were about the work and the expectations, which I found to be consistent throughout my time there. I was constantly busy, but I never really felt appreciated. I would have also appreciated more helpful job search tips after the contracting was done.

APEX is a contract agency. I've been very happy with the effort the recruiters put in to find me new contracts. Some recruiters are more hands on that others but all recruiters I have worked with get back to me right away (24 hrs or less) if I have questions or concerns. I've enjoyed all of the contracts I've worked. APEX does a good job matching my skill set to jobs. They know their clients and are upfront communicating expectations.

Difficult to deal with egocentric, self centered teen recruiters

First of all, I am a professional BSC/IT/SM with over 10 years of experience, and as my references can tell, extremely easy going. I have tried to work with this company for years, but to no veil, it never works out (and to be clear, this is the only one I have issues with). The level of egocentric recruiters I have encounter is at an all time high. They expect a call back, or email reply, within 5 minutes of them sending it, else, they will not reply back to you at all; they have to understand that not everyone is at the phone waiting for their call. A couple of times, they call me back hours past the appointment time, and had a big attitude for some reason. They are all nice at the first call to check resume and such, all is good, then they get their ego-motion on. Since this is the only company I have experience this kind of treatment and behavior, I believe it is a training thing or environment enforced practice, and it is all on them. We, the professional contractors, talk to each other about our experiences and so on, and all have had similar experiences with Apex Systems, the word is spreading, and it is not good one. We are not just employees via contracts, but also clients, and burning the bridges the way they do constantly only hinders them, and drastically. I recommend an enormous change in attitude, behavior, and all time environmental practice.

Other than no paid vacation for contractors who work 2000 hours per year I have no complaints. The salary is low but is acceptable for a positiion in the south, particularly Alabama.

Decent, good pay. As long as there are tons of assignments to do, you'll be busy and will not waste your time. Work at your own pace, on your own schedule, just like any other staffing agency.

was at The Billing Montana Airport responsible for PC and net working for all of Montana Airports

Fun enviroment to work in.

My typical day at work would be listening to my 220-901- 902 certificate training on my way into work. I learned many things while at work such as troubleshooting, and the many different ways they are to troubleshoot in the IT enviroment. The teachers I had were very pro-active in their teaching with us, such as randomly naming hardware, peripherals, scenarios, etc. The hardest part of training is the vast information we had to learn and the most rewarding is the when your able to fix someone computer when they have exhausted all of there avenues and I was able to help fix it for them.

Apex is my first time to work as a contractor. My manager is always available with answers to my many questions. He also makes sure that the company I contract for is aware of my work and that they like me as me liking them.
