Great Culture & Amazing Opportunity

The company culture is top tier. Going work environment, steady income. Very metrics driven and good support. Recently with the tech layoffs, business has not been great. Corporate leadership treats you just like you’d expect from a company. There is no special cases and no matter the reason for if you’re not performing well, that doesn’t matter. Fantastic experience otherwise, but recruiting wholly depends on the business brought in and that will affect your outcome.

Knowing what your interviewer is looking for is only half of the equation for answering this question. The other half is your own typical workday. So think through all the tasks you’re regularly responsible for at your current or most recent job. It might help to write them down so you have a list to refer to as you continue.

Horrible culture- felt like high school

It’s a sales job so you’re just cold calling people all day. Management sucks and doesn’t provide support. Work environment is cliquey and exclusive.

Good job to gain experience and then move on from

The back office is much more relaxed than front office, but you will still be frustrated by many of the same issues. Subjective performance metrics, high employee turnover, and cliquey mindset. Management is essentially promoted via tenure and not always merit.

Not a bad contractor company

Not a bad company to work for if your looking for a contract. The representatives are always very helpful at helping you with whatever questions you have. The places I worked at had a great environment and kept busy.

A great company if you're just getting your food in the door for IT

What is the best part of working at the company?The flexibility you get with your schedule is very good, and communication is very clear.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Shift bids, the better you're doing then the better your chance is to get the shift you want. It can be a little stressful but there are exceptions if needed.

They are very hands off which is nice!

I’ve worked as a contractor with them for a few months now and they have a very hands off approach. I do most of my reporting to my onsite manager through my contractor company.

Decent, but can’t expect too much

I work with Apex as a contractor. Their recruiters and account managers are generally pretty responsive, some are better than others. Only thing I’ve noticed that I don’t like is that in their contracts they don’t put an end date but will give you one verbally as a precaution in case the client doesn’t want you anymore. I’m sure that’s standard to a lot of recruiting companies but that’s really the only thing I don’t like.

Work place

Great and amazing people. Everyone is vocal and you do have someone listening to help you. Management is great and very helpful.

Wonderful Place to work!

Apex is a fabulous place to work. I am going 2 years here and I have had the best experience. They have a great training development program for recruiters to learn the ends and out. I have truly enjoyed my time here at Apex!

Beware!!!! you can get dropped at any time before the agreed upon date you are suppose to leave. Do not rely on this company if you are looking for long term work.

Stressful work environment

The only good part about working here is the benefits package.If you can get through the toxic co-workers and managers, as well as the unrealistic expectations you'll do fine here. The company claims to care about mental health and wants the best for its employees, yet they insist on putting down the recruiters every chance they get. The turnover rate is terrible for a reason. They will hire 3-5 people at the same time and tell you it's because of a "buddy system" when it's actually to hopefully get 1-2 of them to stay working there long enough for the next group of hires.If you choose to work here, good-luck. I hope you have a better experience than me, but beware.

My Honest Opinion

I was hired as Information Technology Consultant, but specifically the role was for a Desktop Support position aiding a hospital merger at a new site. The benefits are great won't deny it, but that is of you exceed 90 days of employment. My contract was only for 90 days. My project manager was awful and I literally had to save the company countless times in order to meet deadlines. Additionally, certain times company had no clue about Active Directory technology and it made it difficult deploying new devices without being versed in the environment in which you were contracted to assist. Moreover, not being able to engage with the client directly about small details like admin rights , HIPAA, user migration protocols, etc...made the role challenging because you would literally be stuck while helping staff members as a contractor. The growth opportunities are hard to speak on because I didn't accept conversion, simply because I felt like the experience was hostile and misleading. Rather cut my losses and try something else.
