I enjoyed working only 15 miles away from my home. The overall environment was enjoyable. Not getting any review of my work made it hard to realize the goals of the department.

Good Company to contract for

I worked for Apex Systems for 6 years as a contractor. They do a good job at supporting you throughout the life of the contract. As a W2 contractor the offer a full range of benefits. They provide a minimal 401k contribution in addition to what you contribute.

Good place to work

Very fine management and they really care about the employees and the benefits and hours are pretty good. I would definitely work here again if I came back to Tampa.

Okay to get foot into the door

Contract with the company which was fine at times but stressful. However contract kinda stinks to where you have no PTO . When contract was updated to an extended contract, did not get chance for PTO.

I had a great experience at Apex Systems

Apex helped me grow and learn in my positions. I absolutely hated seeing this job come to an end because I loved it so much. Sadly, they had to make a business decision due to a personal matter that is beyond my control. The work and life balance , culture and hustle made up greatly for the more conservative pay offered by the company. Sometimes that peace is priceless to be able to handle your personal affairs. I hope to find what I had on my next endeavor.

Hostile work environment

There was a lot of tension and issues within the workspace. I only left because they weren’t honoring my agreement that I only work day shift which I made sure to negotiate during the interview.

Not bad as entry level

Although pay and benefits weren't good as it was a contract job, they really do just hire a warm body. There's lack of communication between managers at the contracted job vs. Apex where it can cause issues or frustration.

Decent place to work

Hard work. Can make money. Deal with a bunch of stuff. Good way to get experience though. Dealing with people is always difficult but rewarding at times,

Fast-paced work environment with a lot of gossip.

This temp agency placed me at a laboratory that only hires people as temporary employees m, which causes a lot of stress for the new people. Being a temp caused new employees to receive different treatment, and the feeling that they let you go at a moments notice. If you had concerns about being unfairly treated by a regular employee, they would resolve the issue by firing the temp and finding a replacement. There was a lot of favoritism and gossip in the lab, and management encouraged it. People did not receive fair opportunities to make a good impression because others always gossiped and complained about the new people. It was an absolute nightmare to work with this lab.

Cool place

Loved it. Fun place. Didn’t mind going to work all the time. I guess it was the people I worked with. "I absolutely love my job as a custodian! Keeping the workplace spotless is truly fulfilling, and the team camaraderie makes it even better. #Satisfied"

Amazing experience

It was short lived for about 10 months but allowed me to gain invaluable experience in the DOD tech space allowing more opportunities to flow my way..

My experience was good but really depends on the assignment. I was able to travel all over the Eastern US as well as work from home sometimes. Overall good.

Very Flexible

Great network and execution team. Certain roles pay way below market but the projects are high impact. Digital transformation is happening all through industries and enterprises, so project teams are small and mighty.

Ok for Entry Level

Ok for a first job. Good culture/environment (work hard, play hard). Salary is very low, and it’s tough in IT/tech staffing right now. It’s hard to get over that bump to start getting commissions, even if you are performing well in the first year. Hybrid schedule when job could be 100% remote.

Great place for software engineer place, easy communication

So far veey good, lots of supoort and clear communication.Medical premiums are expensive, but you can buy your own PPO plan from a broker for third of the price.

A bag of lies

This place was a joke from before I started. The first bad sign was when I told the recruiters I wanted to give my current employer a 2 week notice and they scheduled my start date for a week later. I almost walked out on my first day when they made me wait an hour in the lobby. I was then told by the person I was hired to replace and the Apex site contact to tell noone what I was hired for. Then it was downhill after that. There's no real training to speak of. You would think there would be more when 60% of the job is bureaucracy and paperwork.
